About Champlin

Champlin is located in northern Hennepin County on the west bank of the Mississippi River about 17 miles northwest of Champlin, MNMinneapolis. It is considered a third-ring or third-tier suburb. It is bounded by the Mississippi River on the east and north, Brooklyn Park and Maple Grove on the south, and Dayton and the Elm Creek Park on the west.

The city is approximately 8.8 square miles in size and has approximately 22,193 residents.
